Sampling

Knitting

Once your order has been placed, our Knitting Manager schedules your fabric onto the correct machine. Our factory has state of the art Karl Mayer  machines configured for different qualities of fabric. We are committed to the continuous development of our skilled workforce to keep abreast of modern knitting techniques.

Laboratory

The company has invested heavily in the finest knitting, dyeing and finishing equipment. Our dye laboratory has the latest infrared sample dyeing machines and state of the art spectrophotometer to give the very best shade matching. 

All shades are custom dyed to order - our expert in-house colour matching service can match to Pantone, customer standards and physical samples.

Dyeing & Finishing

We have a mix of beam and jet dyeing machines, giving us the capability to produce a range of dyelot sizes from as little as 200 metres up to 2,000 metres per shade. In addition, we have two dedicated sample dye machines for pre-production sampling.

Our Montforts Stenter (machine used for setting and drying fabric) combines cutting edge technology with control. It is also used for applying chemical finishes.

Quality Control

Quality is built in at every stage of the manufacturing process. We use the best quality yarns and fibres available. All our fabrics go  through rigorous quality control checks. Our fabrics meet the "STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®" for standard polyester, recycled polyester and its blends with Lycra, Standard nylon, recycled nylon and its blends with lycra.

We check all fabrics for temperature washes, colour fastness, warp and weft stretch. Once the fabric is finished, it is fully examined to ensure it conforms to its specification before being sent to our customers.

Printing

We have 2 sublimation printers on site and heat press. We have the capacity to print 1500m / week. Our in house design suite can check and carry out minor alterations to customer designs for bespoke prints.

Alternatively customers can choose a design from our vast library which we can amend scale and colour. We can print on a variety of in house bases or supplied by the customer. All bulk prints are tested in house for colour fastness as part of our service
